[VIRTUAL] Improve Your Mobility: A 10-Week Alexander Technique online experience

Morgan Rysdon and Melissa Brown, Alexander Technique Practitioners

In this special 10-week series, learn how to move through life with more ease and less stress using principles of the Alexander Technique. You'll gain skills to release tension and compression in your body, and discover easier, more efficient ways of moving to improve your alignment and overall sense of well-being.

Each class is focused on a specific topic, and will include time to address individual needs and goals. Be prepared to observe your habits and discover ways you can apply the tools learned to feel more comfortable everyday.

Please note, recordings of each class will be made available to registered participants to watch again, or in the event that you are unable to attend live.

Drop-ins are welcome.

February 21 [VIRTUAL] Class 7—Walking with Ease and Poise (Melissa Brown)
Heighten your awareness of the unconscious habits that may pull you out of alignment during the daily hustle. Learn to alleviate the downward pull on your spine so you can experience the freedom to walk tall with increased ease and efficiency. We will look at the anatomy of the pelvis and its role in walking.  

February 28 [VIRTUAL] Class 8—Posture Mastery: From Stress to Serenity for Your Well-Being (Morgan Rysdon) 
Under stress, our bodies tend to stiffen and tense up. Discover the art of mindfulness, breathe deeply, and stay rooted in the present moment. Unlock the key to moving with enhanced ease and efficiency.

March 6 [VIRTUAL] Class 9—Relieve Back Pain: Find Solutions to This All-Too-Common Problem (Melissa Brown)  
n this class, we will look at how poor postural habits, like slumping, impair the natural functioning of our musculo-skeletal structure and lead to back pain. We will explore ways to take care of ourselves and stay pain free by releasing excess tension, improving alignment and finding ease. We will also dispel the myth of the waist joint!

March 13 [VIRTUAL] Class 10—Everyday Mastery: Integrating the Alexander Technique into Your Daily Life (Morgan Rysdon) 
Reflect on the bedrock of your Alexander Technique practice. Explore the integration of various practice methods and the application of skills acquired over the past 10 weeks in your daily life. Initiate a lifelong journey of self-discovery, enhancing your movement, sensations, and overall experience of your body every day.
